Haubentaucher mit Küken

Beschreibung

Das Foto zeigt einen Haubentaucher auf dem Nest. Ein Küken sitzt sicher geborgen im Gefieder des Altvogels und schaut neugierig umher. Das zweite Küken hat sich herausgewagt, bleibt aber dicht beim Altvogel. Dieser beobachtet genau die Umgebung, ob eine Gefahr droht oder der Partner vielleicht mit einem Fisch zum Füttern der Küken vorbei kommt.

The second chick has ventured out, but remains close to the adult bird.
