Flamingo

Wenn ich meine Schwester in Sanary besuche, mache ich immer einen Abstecher in den Parc Ornithologique de Pont de Gau in der Camargue. Die Flamingos sind dort an Besucher gewöhnt und so kann man ihnen den ganzen Tag lang zusehen.
Die Flamingos filtern das seichte Wasser mit ihrem Schnabel nach Nahrung. Dabei verschwindet oft der Kopf ganz unter der Wasseroberfläche. Wie dreckig es dann dort ‘auf Tauchstation’ sein kann, sieht man in diesem Beispiel.

When I visit my sister in Sanary, I always make a detour to the Parc Ornithologique de Pont de Gau in the Camargue. The flamingos there are used to visitors and so you can watch them all day long.
The flamingos filter the shallow water for food with their beaks. Their head often disappears completely under the surface of the water. This example shows how dirty it can be under water.

Lorsque je rends visite à ma sœur à Sanary, je fais toujours un détour par le Parc Ornithologique de Pont de Gau en Camargue. Les flamants roses y sont habitués aux visiteurs et on peut donc les observer toute la journée.
Les flamants filtrent l’eau peu profonde avec leur bec à la recherche de nourriture. Ce faisant, leur tête disparaît souvent complètement sous la surface de l’eau. Cet exemple montre à quel point l’eau peut être sale.
